Cava Mediterranean Grill
What happens when you mix the ordering style of Chipotle, with the fresh, quality ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine? You get Cava.

Cava is a chic, hip, interesting establishment, that almost reminds me of walking into a high end clothing store when you first walk in. The wide open area has plenty of room for tables, booths, bar tops, and stools.
When you first arrive at the front of the line you are immediately prompted with choices, the first of which being, which type of rice would you like? white or brown?

To what your rice goes in to, is the question, they have wraps, salads, grain bowls, and greens/grains. I opted for the grain bowl.

The next choice you are presented with is the protein. You can choose between, falafel, lamb meatballs, braised beef, grilled chicken, and braised lamb! I decided to play it safe, and go with the grilled chicken.

In addition to the meats, they have a plethora of veggies, toppings, and sauces, ranging from olives, to pickled onions, hummus, to greek yogurt. I loaded mine up with red pepper hummus, feta cheese, and tahini.

The completed bowl looked phenomenal.
I dug in with my “plant based” fork that they provided, and sat down with my organic cane sugar pop. This whole place has a theme of these types of products.
The bowl tasted fresh and unique. The rice was tender, the chicken had a nice char on the outside, yet remained juicy in the middle. The blast of flavor from the tahini, and red pepper hummus brought everything to life. Even with all of the ingredients that I added to the bowl, it still remained light and fresh. After my meal was complete I was left with a energized full feeling, much better than the normal bulky, sleepy fullness you’d get from a heavier meal.
The atmosphere is unique, the price is reasonable, and the quality is exceptional.
